Hello! I’m Melissa, and I’m the CV Advisor. Here’s a little bit about me, what I do, and how I can help you.
I’ve been a recruiter since 2015 and have recruited for agency as well as in-house.
Having hired individuals internally as well as presenting them to external clients, I know how your CV needs to be presented to get the hiring managers to notice you.
I started my recruitment career in 2015 for Hays, one of the leading global recruitment specialist groups, where I recruited for the construction industry, before moving on to work for a national security firm within their HR department.
Then, I moved over to IT recruitment, a colossal, ever-changing industry where even my own skills had to be continually developing to keep up with advancing technology.
Over the past few years, I’ve also volunteered and worked closely with a couple of colleges in the region, working with the students in groups and on a one-to-one basis developing their employability skills and helping them get the very best first step into their futures.
Why is this important? Because my experience means that I know how to get you noticed. I know how you can present your CV, your cover letter, even yourself during an interview, to make sure that you can stand out and be memorable – for the right reasons!
My job all day, everyday is looking through CVs and applications, shortlisting successful applicants, and taking individuals all the way through a full recruitment process, and I can do the same for you. Take a look at some of my recent reviews.
With my first-hand knowledge, I can offer you the very best CV and interview advice straight from an experienced recruiter, I’ll let you in on insider secrets and knowledge, and will tell you which are the common mistakes and how they are perceived by recruiters.
